Comfort Care Compassion

Dr. Jennifer Shultz

Growing up, helping animals was a family affair. From rescuing stranded turtles on busy road ways with my mom to nursing orphaned squirrels with my sister, I experienced first-hand how compassion can change an animal’s life. Volunteering at wildlife rehabilitation centers throughout school taught me that humble, consistent attention is crucial to restoring an animal’s health. I absolutely love that veterinary medicine allows me to continually learn, grow, and adapt as I care for animals in need. Although I still enjoy my emergency medicine and preventative medicine shifts, nothing compares to the blissful face of a dog or cat relishing their myofascial massage. During my clinical intensive on acupuncture, I realized that my passion is holistic medicine. My goal is to maximize comfort for you and your pet as we create an integrated treatment plan. Come. Sit. Heal.

When I’m not driving across the beautiful Texas Hill Country working at various clinics, I love overlanding all across the nation with my husband. Whether we are visiting my Alma mater, Colorado State University, or enjoying a weekend on the coast, we love the memories we make along the way. Sampling delicious food while on the road helps get my creative juices flowing when I get back home to the kitchen. You can often find me cooking up some goodies on my off days with my fur-babies (Pepper, Iris, Grace, Smashy, and Pumpkin) intently watching for dropped morsels.
